From numerous sources it is now reported that Brandon "The Truth" Vera has turned down offers from the UFC for $200,000 per fight minimum plus possible pay per view royalties and more for title fights. "The Truth" turned down this offer apparantly because Gary Shaw of Elite XC has offered him $1,000,000 per fight when his contract ends with the UFC this coming September! Now that is some serious cash money. I believe it is quite a risky decission for "The Truth" . What if Elite XC fails!? It can easily! What if Gary Shaw changes his mind? Was "The Truth" also scared of getting owned by CroCop? I doubt it. Overall I think he made a potentially bad choice for the long term as the UFC would have been there for him. Now they might not be there for him if the Elite XC deal falls through. This guy has not fought the most nuts guys yets and I think $1,000,000 per fight is freaking high for what he has accomplished. Well I hope "The Truth" gets paid!

[…] Brandon Vera: Elite XC Offered $1M Per Fight […]
As an up-and-comer myself, it’s nice to hear that a fighter will start getting a fair share of the profit. Hopefully the deal starts a trend and salaries go up: I know that doesn’t sound good for the promoters, but it’s good for the sport.
fuck him hes not that good
I use to take his mui tai class when he was at city boxing in san diego, and ill i got to say is he is the shit at everything. he has sick hands, sicker knees and crazy jui jitsu. He is gonna be the belt holder i promise.Brandon vera folks, is the real deal.
when he beats up tim it’ll prove two things!
1…he’s a tough s.o.b.
2…he can deal with emense pressure
now those are the signs of a champion
