| UFC: BIG MONEY SPIKE TV DEAL ON THE WAY, PLUS HBO UPDATE |

Wrestlemag.com reports from sources in the television industry are suggesting that Spike TV are close to agreeing terms with the Ultimate Fighting Championship on a new long-term deal that is reported to be worth over $100 million.
The new agreement is believed to include new series’ of the ever-popular Ultimate Fighter reality TV series, with Spike TV also getting more UFC programming from the big-money deal.
Contrary to reports elsewhere, UFC have not finalised a deal with HBO, according to HBO bosses. UFC president Dana White was quoted in the Los Angeles Times recently as saying the UFC had agreed a deal with HBO to televise UFC events beginning this summer. HBO spokesman Ray Stallone this week told Multichannel News that although the network has held talks with UFC regarding a carriage deal, they have “nothing to announce” at time of writing.
