UFC 70 Salaries

Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Mirko Cro Cop

According to MMANews.com, the following are the official purse amounts for UFC 70: NATIONS COLLIDE.

The following salaries do not include any endorsement money individual fighters may have made for this event.  The post-fight bonuses, based on performance, are listed after the salaries.

UFC 70 FIGHTER SALARIES

Winning fighters are in bold, followed by the fighter they defeated.

Gabriel Gonzaga made $60,000 ($30,000 base salary + $30,000 win bonus).

Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic made $350,000 (flat fee).

NOTE - These numbers fall in line with NSAC confirmed salaries for Cro Cop’s last UFC fight, where he made the same flat fee amount, except Cro Cop won that one, so Eddie Sanchez only made $30,000 with no win bonus.  After his loss to Gonzaga, Cro Cop said he has 4 fights left on his UFC contract, and he intends to complete his contract.  No wonder, he’s got over a million reasons not to retire!

Andrei Arlovski made $160,000 ($80,000 base salary + $80,000 win bonus).

Fabricio Werdum made $80,000.

Michael Bisping made $24,000 ($12,000 + $12,000).

Elvis Sinosic made $8,000.

Lyoto Machida made $40,000 ($20,000 + $20,000).

David Heath made $6,000.

$3000 dollars, with exchange rates that is £1600. I earn that in a week anyway. In my opinion these fighters should be paid at least $5000! they are training for at least 6-8weeks with a 2-4week layoff. Thats equivalent to 10 weeks average time needed per fight. Divide that motherfucker into 3g’s and it looks like $300 a week. Dana, sort it out mate. Pro boxers get that for their first few fights and that is nowhere near the cash generating tv shows like UFC?
