UFC 68 “The Uprising” Betting Odds

Reported by gambling911 The UFC 68 "The Uprising" betting odds have been released by our good friends at Sportsbook.com

This is Carrie Stroup reporting.  With UFC 68 "The Uprising" we find that Tim Sylvia is the -270 favorite and Randy Couture is listed with +210 odds.  Couture would pay out $210 on a $100 bet should he happen to win.

Sylvia is a favorite for good reason.  He is currently the Ultimate Fighting Championship Heavyweight Champion and holds a professional record of 23 wins and 2 losses. He trains as a member of the Miletich Fighting Systems (MFS) camp and is part of their MFSE (Miletich Fighting System Elite) group.

But  Randy Couture is no slouch, having come out of retirement to fight this bout.

Couture is a member of the UFC Hall of Fame. He is the only athlete to have held championship titles in both the heavyweight and light heavyweight divisions of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, earning him the nicknames "The Natural" and, later, "Captain America".

On January 11, 2007, Couture appeared for an interview on the Spike TV magazine show Inside the UFC. In a conversation with Joe Rogan, Couture confirmed that he would be facing Sylvia for the UFC Heavyweight Championship title on March 3, 2007. Couture also revealed that he had signed a four-fight, two-year deal with the company. This means he will be 45 years old when the contract expires.

Betting on the UFC and Mixed Martial Arts has really begun to catch on especially with the limited value found in boxing these days.  As proof, last weekend’s big boxing bout received little traffic here at Sports911.com.  In contrast, the last big UFC bout (UFC 67) garnered heavy interest.

You can catch UFC 68 The Uprising on March 3, 2007
