Reported by Sherdog.com Two pillars of American sports journalism will have in the span of three days featured mixed martial arts, more specifically the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Friday, during the 6 p.m. ET edition of ESPN’s Emmy-award winning SportsCenter, May 26’s UFC light heavyweight title fight between Chuck Liddell (Pictures) and Quinton Jackson (Pictures) will be featured, Sherdog.com has learned, marking the first time a mixed martial arts event has been given pre-event coverage on the "Worldwide Leader."

Liddell is slated to be interviewed.

This news tops an incredible week for the sport in terms of mainstream media exposure. On Tuesday, Sports Illustrated released its latest edition with a shot of Roger Huerta (Pictures)’s UFC 69 bout in Houston, Texas gracing the cover.
