Marcus "Maximus" Aurelio has signed a 4 fight deal with the UFC!!
Great news for the American Top Team Fighter who gets to showcase his skills to a whole new audience. Marcus has a incredible Jiu-Jitsu, and is best known for his ZST Grand Prix tournament victories, and his stunning win over then PRIDE Champion Takanori Gomi.
Marcus is extremely excited about fighting for the UFC and competing in this talented division.

Born and raised in Fortaleza, Brazil Marcus holds the rank of Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
In Brazil, Marcus competed regularly with the Gi, once defeating the legendary Royler Gracie.
Since moving to the United States to train with ATT, Marcus has focused all his attention on being the top 155 pound fighter in the world.
Marcus’s big break fighting came in the ZST Grand Prix Tournament Japan in Jan. of ‘04. He went on to defeat Imanari (decision), Morkevicius (triangle choke), and Rich Clementi (broken nose-tapped out) all in the same night.
Marcus had his dream match against the #1 Lightweight in the World Takanori Gomi - whom he defeated and put to sleep by katagatme choke in the first round! This is something no other fighter has been able to accomplish. This represents a tremendous win for Marcus and ATT!
He has fought in Pride Bushido Japan multiple times, ZST-Japan, HOOKnSHOOT, KOTC USMMA, WEFC, and Mass Destruction.
