Lets get Randy Couture back in the UFC! What do you think? Is it worth a go?

Hello Tamara, great site! lot’s of mma and ufc news for a junkie like myself! anyways, more to the point, I watched a Randy Couture interview the other day and was shocked that he retired, this guy, along with Dana White and his associates built the UFC back up from the ground floor , and I was pretty pissed off to hear
that Randy isn’t getting treated like he should be. I have watched The Ultimate Fighter since day one, and have purchased many pay-per-view events as well, I was wondering if you knew about anybody starting a petition or anyway to contact Dana White in order to express my point of view to show my support for Randy. as a huge fan of UFC and the ultimate fighter, I am willing to boycott any further events and shows as a show of support for Randy and any other disgruntled mma participants. If Dana is making huge bucks like I have heard he is and not being fair with the the fighters that the people come to see, then let’s make it right!!! please send me any
info that you have heard about anything like this . Thank You

Hi Todd,
Although your point seems very viable, you are only looking at one side of a story, when you look at Randy’s pay packet for this year it tops over $2million what other fighting sports pay that kind of cash for two fights?
I think to many people are jumping in with both feet blaming the UFC when they havnt got all the facts.
I love Randy and would love to see him stay in the UFC but its not that the UFC aint looking after their fighters, its more so they get so much publicity and so well known they start to see themselves as Celebs and start to think they are worth more, they forget they are doing what they love and being paid millions to do it.
So if you want to boycott the the UFC for that i think your making a huge mistake.

For a World Championship fight two million is chump change. Look at boxing paydays… Two Million for two fights is a poor payday for the amount of money that UFC is making off the gate, pay-per-view, MMA products, and sponsorships from commercial products. Randy is a stand up guy with not too much time at the top left. I would go for all I could get, the time at the top where payouts are largest is brief… Good luck Randy
