Pro Wrestling Insider reports Variety noted that HBO is looking at adding Ultimate Fighting Championship events to its bevy of original programming.  "We are talking to the UFC and looking at ways we can distinguish ourselves in that area," HBO head Chris Albrecht told the entertainment trade journal.  It was noted that HBO was looking at the MMA genre as a supplement to live boxing, which has lost some of its luster in recent years.

Variety also noted that ABC is looking at snagging rights to broadcasting UFC events.
