David Heath to replace Forrest Griffen at UFC 70

David Heath David Heath has been announced as Forrest Griffin’s replacement to face Lyoto Machida at UFC 70 in Manchester on April 21 after Forrest Griffin was forced to withdraw yesterday due to a severe staph infection.

The decision to give the nod to Heath - who is unbeaten in UFC thus far - was made after UFC officials were unable to give the place to either Keith Jardine or Jason Lambert as they recover from injury.

In other UFC 70 news, it has today been confirmed that several British fighters will be part of the Manchester event. Paul Taylor, David Lee (who was last seen at UFC 63), Terry Etim and Jess Liaudin have all been confirmed to have spots on the undercard.
