| Dana White vs. Tito Ortiz |

Tito Ortiz issued the following statement in regard to his portrayal on the Dana vs. Tito UFC special which aired last week on SpikeTV:
“Dana White has once again taken the low road and decided to try to damage my reputation and credibility in a public forum. During an appearance on Spike TV on April 12th White accused me of failure to show up for a fight we had originally scheduled for March 24th. He did so at the end of the program and gave me no opportunity to respond or tell the real story, which is simply this: White was fully informed well in advance of March 24th that I would not fight without a contract, which White refused to sign.
“Fighting is my livelihood and jeopardizing my body without a full understanding of conditions, doesn’t make any sense. No professional fighter will go into a risky match without a contract.
“I’ve struggled to get respect and dignity for my profession and I do it in the way I lead my life as a fighter and as a human being. Dana’s attitude not only disrespects me, but all fighters. I am taking this stand just not for this one incident, but for all future champions.
“I want to reiterate: I am ready to settle my differences with Dana White in any fighting forum we can agree on, but only if there is a signed contract that stipulates where the money is going, whether it is to charity or to the fighters doesn’t matter as much as having a definitive agreement.
“Until Dana White is ready to fight me on a professional basis, I strongly urge him to keep his mouth shut.”

All I can say is that Tito wanted to spar Dana in a friendly 3 - 3 minute rounds, it was part to the contract when Tito came back… so then Dana got in shape for the bout and it should have just been done without the public knowledge. Then once the fight took place, then they could have let everyone known what happened. It wasn’t for money, it was something that Dana said he would do and was willing to do it because Tito said he wanted it part of his contract when he came back.. there should have been nothing said about this until it was over.. period!!!
Dana went through all the steps to get this legal since Tito opened his mouth about it.. then Tito bails, with a very bad excuse.
I am still a fan of Tito, but he should have stepped up and fought Dana. He is a professional fighter, he could have handled a sparring match with Dana White. Dana White did what he had to do.. Tito should have done the same.
Tito states above:
“Until Dana White is ready to fight me on a professional basis, I strongly urge him to keep his mouth shut.”
Tito.. Dana was ready to spar you in a professional basis, he got is boxing license to do this whole thing.. for YOU, cause he is a man of his word. He showed up.. you didn’t. This was sanctioned by the Las Vegas State Game Commission, they took time to make this fight happened.
Dana White was professional about this whole thing… you were the one that didn’t show up. Don’t give us (your fans) the lousy excuse that you didn’t have a contract.. that is bull sh*t… you had a contract.. the one you signed when you came back to the UFC.
So in my eyes, you breeched your contract with Dana White and the UFC, and disappointed your fans.
Keep up the great work Dana.
Who cares about Dana White! He’s a punk who landed an ideal job with no resume. His position does not give him a forum feed the public crap. Tito is just being a professional fighter. No one said professional fighters could add, subtract or relay rational thought; that being said he is only doing what he does best - draw attention to himself.
Therefore, enough stupidity!
All i got to say is that tito is a pussy. I mean come on he has to be scared of dana white or else he would of fought him. I think dana white would kick his ass in any fight.
