MMA website Sherdog.com is reporting that UFC champion Chuck Liddell vs. Quinton Jackson is set for UFC’s 5/26 PPV in Las Vegas, Nevada, providing Liddell with a chance to avenge the only MMA loss of his fighting career that he has yet to claim back in a rematch.
Jackson, who debuted for UFC this past February, defeated Liddell in November 2003 in a bout promoted by PRIDE. That loss was the last of Liddell’s career as he’s won seven straight bouts since while fighting for UFC, becoming one of the top stars of the company since its resurgence as a national PPV force.
Jackson’s manager and trainer Juanito Ibarra was Sherdog’s source on the fight being signed.
