Will most likely fight winner of Florian/Huerta first!
Hilo’s B.J. Penn has his sights set on Georges St. Pierre.
The Hawaiian mixed martial arts fighter told fans he wants a rematch with the UFC welterweight champion after he battered former title holder Sean Sherk last night.
St. Pierre won a split decision at 170 pounds when they met in March 2006.
UFC president Dana White says Penn may have another fight in the 155-pound ranks first.
That fight would presumably be against the winner of the August boat between Kenny Florian and Roger Huerta.
But White said he would not dismiss a Penn-St. Pierre rematch, prompting Penn to clap his hands. St. Pierre, meanwhile, has to get past No. 1 welterweight contender Jon Fitch.
